It’s result Day for Paper and Poster Abstracts.
Good News..
Poster Abstracts: All Abstracts submitted for Poster have been accepted for Poster Presentation!
Paper Abstracts: All Paper Abstracts have been reviewed by Two blinded Reviewers who reviewed the allotted Abstracts on a 10 Point scale with 10 marks each. The scores recieved from two reviewers were averaged out and all the Abstracts which scored above the cutoff score of 65% have been accepted for Paper Presentation.
All the Abstracts which scored less than 65 % and in cases where both reviewers recommended conversion to Poster have been converted for Poster presentation.
The list of selected Abstracts for paper presentation and those converted to poster will be released by 9 PM today.
All posters will have to be uploaded on the portal which will be created on the website between 15th September to 22nd September, 2021.
All Abstracts selected for Paper Presentation will have to be presented on 24th/25th September, 2021 Virtually on Google Meet.

Presentation time : 10 minutes (7+3)( 7 mins for presentation and 3 mins for Discussion).
- The presenter’s responsibility to look into connectivity issues
- The presenter logs in at least 15 mins before the scheduled time allotted for their presentation.
- The paper presentation will be judged and the judges’ decision will be final.
- Please do not mention names of authors, co-authors or that of the institute or funding agencies in the body of the abstract.
- Kindly ensure the correctness of the abstract contents before submitting. Any correction post-submission shall not be entertained.

- Paper/Poster should not have been previously published in print or in any online journal.
- Abstracts must be submitted online as per the format via the conference website only. Abstracts sent via email/post/ other means shall not be entertained.
- All abstracts will be assessed and awarded scores based on a standard assessment format provided. All abstracts which score over and above the baseline decided by the Scientific Committee will be allowed to present as Oral Paper. All abstracts which don’t make the mark, will be converted to posters. Decision of Scientific Committee is final and binding on all.

The Final Selected Posters will have to be uploaded on the website in the format shared below by the delegates after 15th September on the webportal that will be created for the purpose. The uploaded posters on the conference website will be available for online viewing and voting for all delegates during the conference.
- The poster presentation will be judged and the judges’ decision will be final.
- Case presentations and case series of at least 10 cases shall be restricted to poster presentations only, however rare.
- Please do not mention names of authors, co-authors or that of the institute or funding agencies in the body of the abstract.

General requirements for poster presentation
- Only e-posters are permitted
- The poster should be in JPEG/PNG format, with landscape orientation with
aspect ratio of 16:9 (Width:Height).
- The posters to be the only one page slide format and conforms to the dimensions
mentioned above. Multiple slide pages are not permitted .
- One may use custom slide dimensions in MS Power point to height 58.25 cms
and Width – 100cms
- Refrain from using small fonts. If you use the template provided, the font size 32
and above would be easy to read.
- File size upto 15 MB is permitted

Let’s showcase the Art in Pathology and learn at the same time.

About KAPCON Path Tweet Competition
#KAPCONPathTweet is a competition organized as a part of KAPCON 2021 Virtual Conference on Twitter by KCIAPM to recognize pathologists and pathology trainees who have post outstanding educational tweets in the field of pathology.
This is done with an intention to encourage Pathologists and Post Graduate students, especially in India to come on board #PathTwitter to learn and share their learnings with the world.
Who is eligible to be part of the competition?
Pathologists in practice, Postgraduate students and Fellows who have registered for KAPCON 2021 are eligible for the award.
To be considered, a tweet with educational value should be posted on Twitter and brought to the attention of the KAPCON 2021 Path Tweet judges by using two hashtags #KAPCONPathTweet #KAPCON2021.
Process
Pathology education Tweets/Tweetorial (up to 5 tweets) by KAPCON 2021 Registered delegates between 1st August to 15th September 2021 will be considered for evaluation.
Every 30 days, tweets tagged with the hashtag #KAPCONPathTweet are collated by a screening judge and posted publicly on Twitter using the “Moments” feature. These collections serve as a repository of the best tweets.
Top 20 PathTweets in each Consultant and PG category will be selected by screening judges for the final Judges to consider for prize.

GUIDELINES
1. Purpose of the quiz – To have fun and get a chance to discuss interesting cases.
2. Schedule –
10 cases per week over 3 weeks starting September 6th and following 3 Mondays concluding with batch 3 on September 20. Responses will be collected until midnight of September 25th. All links will be released at 11 AM.
Cases along with images and links to Whole Slide Images will be shared through Google Form link and posted on all KCIAPM Social Media Handles.
Each set of 10 cases will include challenges from various fields of lab Including QC medicine
3. Target participants-Post graduate students, Consultants, Practicing pathologists
4. Criteria for participation – Anybody can participate – One need not register for the conference to participate in the quiz. But only those registered for the conference shall be eligible for the prize.
5. Level of difficulty –
a. 60% cases easy and straightforward
b. 20% cases of slightly higher difficulty
c. 20% cases where the diagnosis isn’t straightforward, and needed additional investigation
6. Format of questions – May range from statement of diagnosis to two or three ancillary questions
